Syracuse women’s lacrosse released its full 2018 schedule Thursday afternoon. The slate features 12 opponents ranked in the Inside Lacrosse Faceoff Yearbook Top 25 poll.

The Orange, ranked No. 9 in the poll, will debut its 16-game schedule on Feb. 9 against former Big East Conference rival Connecticut and begin its conference slate against No. 13 Virginia on March 4.

The conference schedule will consist of seven games with five of the Orange’s opponents ranked among the Top 25 teams in the country: No. 3 North Carolina, No. 4 Boston College, No. 13 Virginia, No. 16 Notre Dame and No. 21 Duke.

SU will face four of the top five teams in the Inside Lacrosse poll with its toughest matchup coming against No. 1 ranked Maryland on March 11.

Coming off a 15-7 season, the Orange looks to improve upon a year in which it was eliminated in the first round of the NCAA tournament to Boston College, whom SU faces off against in the penultimate regular-season game.
